Yuichiro "Hiko" Hikosaka joined Soma Capital in 2025, backing founders at the earliest inflection points across AI, robotics, space, and frontier softwares.

He began his career at Goldman Sachs as a derivatives trader, spending about nine years on the fixed-income and derivatives desks. He then became COO for two startups. In venture capital, he served at Airbus Ventures, investing across Asia and the U.S. in companies such as Q-CTRL, Featherless AI, Eureka Robotics, and Transcelestial.

He holds a B.S. from Keio University and a Master of Economics from The University of Tokyo. In private, he enjoys playing jazz piano and listening to good music.
